Mcig, Inc. (OTCBB:MCIG) Still Indicates Upward Momentum

Mcig, Inc. (OTCBB:MCIG) seems to be propped by quite an optimism, and the dip from Wednesday led to record buying volumes right on the next day. MCIG grew by 40% to $0.126, as $1.04 million’s worth of shares was absorbed. MCIG is the new face of the electronic cigarettes sector, enticing for its promise to start releasing its first product soon. MCIG0301.png

The ticker still rises without a promotion, boosted by the company’s own press releases. It is also possible that MCIG has hit on an alternative use of electronic cigarettes- as accessories to the medical and recreational marijuana sector, which would mean that MCIG may move along two lines, that of e-cig producers, and that of freshly popular cannabis stocks. Before partaking of any sales boom, the financial statements of MCIG contained:

  • $13, 809 cash
  • $81,144 total current liabilities
  • $13,180 revenues
  • $19,873 net loss for the quarter to October 31, 2013

Now, we have to wait and see how much true upward potential MCIG has, and if there would be a trend or sharp reversals. The weekend is usually a watershed of sentiments, and selling often happens right before or after. So far, investors’ forums are incredibly optimistic.

For now, several other climbers show as strong or stronger results, and the medical marijuana sector is having a revival. Among the strongest are Hemp, Inc. (OTCMKTS:HEMP), tripling its price in the past ten days. GreenGro Technologies, Inc. (OTCMKTS:GRNH) is yet another recent mover, spiking by more than 67% on renewed buying at the start of 2014.

This exuberance may last for a while, yet it is best to avoid investing unaffordable amounts in MCIG or others, as fast climbers also have a tendency for steep setbacks.

At the same time, Vapor, Corp. (OTCMKTS:VPCO) seems to be going out of fashion, despite the reverse split. The ticker started drifting sideways a bit above $9. Other electronic cigarette tickers also wore out their initial appeal, and went on to drift sideways, as better pickings and promotions offered faster movements.

MCIG has not had a press release for a while, and a new reminder may boost the interest and invite new buying. The end of the year, though, was enough of an incentive for some investors to realize profits.
