ALJ Regional Holdings, Inc. (OTCMKTS:ALJJ) Crashes After Q1 Results
[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]ALJ Regional Holdings, Inc. (OTCMKTS:ALJJ) has been doing fairly well with price of above $4 per share in the recent months. And while the PPS isn’t the smallest in the OTC markets we can’t say the same for the daily volumes that have been impressively small for quite some time now.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]After all, [[tagnumber 6]]ALJJ[[tagnumber 7]] is not a regular when it comes to press releases and we rarely hear something from company HQ. This might be one of the reasons for the lack of investor interest. Yesterday’s session, however, was a different story. [[tagnumber 6]]ALJJ[[tagnumber 7]] filed their report for the first quarter of this year and the numbers contained in its balance sheet looked something like this.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 14]]cash: $3.5 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]current assets: $46.05 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]current liabilities: $22.65 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]quarterly revenues: $53.18 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]quarterly net income: $1.93 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 24]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Despite the fact that those are some really impressive numbers for an OTC listed stock it seems that they weren’t to the liking of investors. After all, the cash positions of the company have shrunk significantly, while the net income has decreased, despite [[tagnumber 6]]ALJJ [[tagnumber 7]]recording bigger revenues.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]This might be the very reason for yesterday’s drop in which [[tagnumber 6]]ALJJ[[tagnumber 7]] lost a total of 14.35%, closing the session with a price of $3.94. And while we saw the ticker record the biggest percentile movement that it has made in quite a while we also saw a 52–week record when it comes to volume, as there were a total of 398 thousand shares that changed their owners, generating $1.53 million in daily trade value.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]It seems, however, that things have quieted down and [[tagnumber 6]]ALJJ [[tagnumber 7]]has barely moved in today’s session. The volume is also kept to a minimum. In any case, you should do your due diligence and weigh out the risks before putting any money on the line. After all, a market cap of $123 million isn’t one of the smallest in the OTC markets.[[tagnumber 2]]
