Alkaline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER) Steps Back to $0.60
These days, the Alkaline Water Co., Inc. (OTCBB:WTER) seems to be settling, unable to rise too much above the 60-cents levels. Buying and selling are competing, and Monday was a day in the red, as WTER shed about 6% to exactly 60 cents on selling volumes of $1.21 million. On Tuesday, WTER opened with tentative buying.
Amazon.com reviews are a few, and always superlative five-star assessments. But the sales are still in the single digits, as despite the wide publicity about the company and the shares, consumers have still not warmed up to the wonders of alkaline water. WTER is not getting tired of touting the qualities of its product which start to verge on the magical. But the jury is still out on the health and wellness benefits of alkaline water.
A new press release could act to the benefit of WTER, as any slack in activity is directly decreasing investors’ interest. Even at 60 cents, WTER is not too far from the peak of its promotion, when investors were riled up by a combination of emails, paper brochures, a specialized landing page and PR messages.
Other tickers also tend to hold up well even after the peak of the promotion is in the past. GrillIT, Inc. (OTCMKTS:GRLT) is still keeping up a respectable price at $1.50, with enough support, despite the great fallout from above $5. A long sideways drift is no guarantee, but at least it shows a residue of natural optimism and interest that may help to cut losses, or even achieve minor run-ups.
Speaking of run-ups, Montalvo Spirits, Inc. (OTCBB:TQLA) is attempting another recovery, opening Tuesday with a gain toward 33 cents. So far, twice already, TQLA attempted to rebounce and slid back to a baseline level of around 30 cents. The third time will show if the stock attempts a higher position.
While WTER remains quieter, its presence among the most traded penny stocks cannot be denied. Investors’ forums are active, although a lot of the postings are a reiteration of the main WTER message, and from time to time a commentary on chart patterns and an analysis of short-term trading events.
If you still believe you can ride a minor or a longer trend, keep in mind that WTER has entered a new period where it moves on its own, reacting to the occasional press release, and often correcting. Choose your price levels well, and do not invest unaffordably despite the high promises of the bottled water industry.
