Alkaline Water Company Inc (OTCMKTS:WTER) Sliding Closer Toward The 10 Cent Mark
[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]After several months of low trading we saw the stock of Alkaline Water Company Inc (OTCMKTS:WTER) begin to ascend the charts in the middle of June, and as volumes also increased, we saw the ticker reach a high of $0.17 per share on July 13.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Unfortunately, it was right about then when the time had come for [[tagnumber 6]]WTER[[tagnumber 7]] to file their annual report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2015. Despite having increased the revenue by a massive 608%, however, the company’s other fundamentals were looking pretty bleak.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 11]] [[tagnumber 12]]cash: $90 thousand[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]current assets: $717 thousand[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]current liabilities: $1.4 million[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]revenues: $3.7 million[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 12]]net loss: $7.1 million[[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 22]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Those are surely some pretty ugly numbers and it gets even uglier when you take the dilution into consideration. As we wrote in our previous article, the outstanding shares have gone up by 62% from 81.6 million to 133 million in the fiscal year ended March 31, 2015.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Meanwhile, the company is expanding operations as it becomes clear from one of their most latest press releases. On July 16 [[tagnumber 6]]WTER[[tagnumber 7]] announced a partnership with Triple T Corporation for the distribution of the company’s Alkaline88 water brand in Hawaii.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]This, however, didn’t help with [[tagnumber 6]]WTER’s[[tagnumber 7]] descent down the charts and the ticker kept losing altitude. Neither did the press release issued by One Equity Research LLC issued the following day for which the promoters were compensated 1.5 million restricted shares of common stock by the company and a further $20 thousand by a third party.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]In Friday the company stock lost another 8.71% of its value and finished the session with a price of $0.11. A total of 967 thousand traded shares generated $106 thousand in daily dollar volume as [[tagnumber 6]]WTER[[tagnumber 7]] went on to finish the week reaching closer to the 10 cent per share mark.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]This week has started somewhat more stable and [[tagnumber 6]]WTER[[tagnumber 7]] has barely moved so far in the session. Still, that doesn’t mean that the slide can’t continue so you should do your due diligence and weigh out the risks before putting any money on the line.[[tagnumber 2]]
