Could Press Ventures, Inc. (OTCBB:PVEN) Be the New APS Pump?
Press Ventures, Inc. (OTCBB:PVEN) was one of the most actively traded stocks on the OTC market yesterday. This raised a lot of questions.
Several promoters emailed about PVEN before the open and the stock generated an insane volume quickly. Most of the trades took place before 1 p.m. In early trading PVEN managed to get as high as $0.57 per share, but after that things went downhill. Ultimately it closed down 16.98% at $0.22 per share with more than 7.5 million shares changing hands.
There were rumors which so far remain unconfirmed that PVEN could be the new pick of Awesome Penny Stocks (APS). The large dollar and share volume could support such a theory.
There are some other details about PVEN which suggest the rumors maybe true. PVEN, much like all the pump jobs of APS, has insignificant previous trading history; additionally, PVEN recently changed its business plan, and effected a 50 for 1 forward split in May.
Another thing which points in the same direction is the fact that the newsletters which touted PVEN prior to the session weren’t compensated and didn’t give any reasons. They simply stated PVEN was their pick.
At the same time we have received emails from APS and the other affiliate newsletters that their pick was delayed. APS was supposed to retire after it failed to pump Xumanii International Holdings Corp (OTCMKTS:XUII) above $1 per share. However, the pumpers have sent emails confirming they will indeed come out with a new pick any day now.
Until APS or one of their affiliates confirms PVEN as the new pick, we can’t be sure that is the case, but there’s certainly a lot of circumstantial evidence to support one such theory.
