Dephasium Corp. (OTCMKTS:DPHS) Pump Tumbles Downhill
Yesterday trading action for Dephasium Corp. (OTCMKTS:DPHS) was even more frenzied than on Monday, aided by the pump campaign. To the disappointment of shareholders, however, DPHS closed the day almost 24% down.
The stock took an immediate nose dive 15 minutes into the session on a huge volume spike, to drop below its pre-pump values, then recovered slightly, still closing the day nearly a quarter down. Not too surprisingly, promoters had nothing to say once the price action was visible and there were no new email touts sent for DPHS yesterday. The company made a faint attempt to sustain the hype a little longer with a press release around the open but that didn’t do a lot of good.
We previously covered Dephasium in two separate articles, covering the email pump campaign and the short-lived storm in a teacup caused by the fake paper mailers put into circulation that even some of our readers received in the mail. The hilarious story with the fake hard mailers consisted of an unknown joker party sending out paper ads for DPHS, printed using the website layout of Awesome Penny Stocks (APS) – possibly the biggest name among stock pumpers.
However, the mailer was a fake, as APS are currently busy pumping Xumanii, Inc. (OTCMKTS:XUII) full of hot air, and the website listed on the fake paper ad was not owned or associated with APS or the legal entity that operates the promoter.
We tried to warn our readers where DPHS was more or less inevitably headed and it seems we helped some of them save a few dollars, avoiding yesterday’s slump. With the pump emails drying up and virtually everyone on trader discussion boards having caught up with the paper mailer being a fake, there’s no telling how long or how far DPHS may slip, as the company’s optimistic press releases may prove insufficient to support the hype and keep traders interested in the stock.
As with all stocks, OTC or otherwise, traders are advised to do their own research before putting their hard-earned money into any stock. The penny market is unpredictable enough as it is, and pump campaigns further muddy its waters.
