Fast Moving Stocks Make Fast Gains on Odyssey Pictures Corporation (PINK:OPIX)
It is mid-February and the Securities Exchange Commission is already swamped with tons of 10-Qs and 10-Ks as the deadline for submitting those reports is already fast approaching. Not for everyone, though. The guys at Odyssey Pictures Corporation (PINK:OPIX) have deemed it necessary to delay their report and they have declared that right in the middle of a full-blown promotion going on in support of OPIX stock.
While pump jobs are usually accompanied by bombastic press releases, the case with OPIX is rather different. There have been no official news for quite a while. If this were not enough, the company has just submitted a notification of late filing of its forthcoming report covering the quarter ended Dec. 31, 2012. Nevertheless, OPIX skyrocketed a whopping 483% yesterday on a record-breaking volume of 18 million shares. The campaign is led by Fast Moving Stocks, David Cohen and Stock Digest Report to name but a few. No compensation details have been disclosed.
The pump is set to continue today as a couple of the emails that reached our database yeseterday arrived after market close. However, does OPIX have what it takes to be a five-bagger for a second day in a row?
With no news at hand, such a scenario would be by all means really difficult to materialize. On the contrary, there is a huge chance that the stock will crash down and the reason why OPIX shares are still on the high end is simply due to the fact that the parties behind the pump have not shorted their stakes yet. However, a short is imminent and once it has occurred, OPIX‘s market value will shrink to a new low faster than the speed of light.
Now that we do not have a fresh report at our disposal, we studied the company’s most recent 10-Q reports. Surprisingly enough, they look much better than the vast majority of sub-penny stocks’ reports we have examined so far. Yet, it will take much more than a handful of positive numbers to erase the $42 million of deficit the company has accumulated since inception. The latter will continue to serve as a major drawback to attracting external investors. The same goes for the paid promotions OPIX gets involved in. Check out the past performance of Fast Moving Stocks, David Cohen and Stock Digest Report to get an idea of the dire consequences suffered by other penny stocks when they were promoted by the same guys not so long ago.
