Force Protection (OTCMKTS:FPVD) Regaining Even More Altitude
[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]This year has been pretty terrible for the stock of Force Protection (OTCMKTS:FPVD) so far. Back in the start of 2016 the ticker was trading at more than $1 per share, but things quickly changed. As the downward slide worsened in March and the beginning of April we saw [[tagnumber 2]]FPVD[[tagnumber 3]] lose more than 95% of the value it had in the start of the year.[[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]]The volumes also increased as panicked investors began selling frantically and we are quite sure that there was also a lot of shorting going on. Although the company lost quite a lot of value we can’t say that we are all that surprise, considering the numbers contained in [[tagnumber 2]]FPVD’s[[tagnumber 3]] latest report, covering the quarter ended January 31, 2016.[[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 14]]cash: $196 thousand[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]current assets: $270 thousand[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]current liabilities: $287 thousand[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]quarterly revenues: $14 thousand[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]quarterly net loss: $411 thousand[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 24]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]]These numbers aren’t really impressive, to say the least. Still, the company seems to be making progress compared to the same period in the previous year, but things are going very slow. Furthermore, the hype surrounding the wearable camera market that ensued after police shootings has quieted down, as they have become a regular thing in the past year.[[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]]Still, [[tagnumber 2]]FPVD[[tagnumber 3]] has been doing quite well in the past few sessions. Yesterday the ticker added some 30.95% to its value and closed the session at $0.055. Volumes were quite high, but the 3.18 million shares that switched hands managed to generate only $154 thousand in daily trade value.[[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 4]] [[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 2]]FPVD[[tagnumber 3]] is doing even better today. The ticker reached a high of $0.13 per share, which represented a 136% gain over yesterday’s closing price. Things have since quieted down and the ticker is trading “[[tagnumber 40]]only[[tagnumber 41]]” 38.18% up, at $0.076. This doesn’t mean that you should skip doing your due diligence and weighing out the risks before putting any money on the line.[[tagnumber 4]]
