[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]The stock of Innovative Food Holdings Inc (OTCMKTS:IVFH) was barely traded in the past several months. The last time we wrote about the company was back in the middle of the year, when it managed to shortly attract some investor attention.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The slide of [[tagnumber 6]]IVFH[[tagnumber 7]] became a lot steeper in October, most probably due to the lack of press releases coming from the company during the month. The last time we got to see some news from [[tagnumber 6]]IVFH[[tagnumber 7]] was back in September when the company published its financial filing for the second quarter of the year, containing the following numbers of prime interest.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 13]] [[tagnumber 14]]cash: $1.79 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]current assets: $5.54 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]current liabilities: $12.11 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]quarterly revenues: $12.53 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 14]]quarterly net loss: $1.95 million[[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 24]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Looking at these numbers we see that [[tagnumber 6]]IVFH[[tagnumber 7]] is not your regular OTC marketplace listed company. We also see, however, that the cash reserves have dropped significantly compared to the first quarter of the year. A good thing is that the liabilities have also been slightly reduced, while the revenues have increased. Unfortunately, the net loss seems to be staying almost the same and is mainly caused by an increase in selling, general and administrative expenses.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Still, [[tagnumber 6]]IVFH[[tagnumber 7]] began to move upwards in the beginning of this month for no apparent reason. Yesterday the company also announced that they are planning to spin off The Fresh Diet’s business in order to create more shareholder value. This brought a 13.43% increase and price and [[tagnumber 6]]IVFH[[tagnumber 7]] finished the session with a price of $0.76, a total of 173 thousand traded shares and $149 thousand in daily dollar volume.[[tagnumber 2]]
