Montalvo Spirits, Inc. (OTCBB:TQLA) Bull Run Boosted by Emails
Soon, Montalvo Spirits, Inc. (OTCBB:TQLA) may be trying to break through the dollar levels, taken on a bull run by renewed promotional efforts. The ticker added 9.6% on Wednesday on nearly $1 million trading volumes. The latest promotional email coincided with a press release stating TQLA would be a featured brand at the Hard Rock San Diego Pool Party.
The brand is currently expanding, offered in California, Florida, New York, and New Jersey, and plans to launch in Oregon and Connecticut in July and August. The stock’s bull run, however, is very much traceable to a paid promotion, extremely active this June, beginning on May 23rd.
All of this sounds promising, although only until a few months ago the TQLA ticker did not exist, and the company traded as Advanced Cloud Storage, Inc. In fact, Casa Montalvo gained access to the BB tier of the penny stock markets through a reverse merger. So while the tequila business is solid and promising, the behavior of the stock is still not so trustworthy, especially with the effect of a promotion.
In its latest report, TQLA shows so far no revenues, along with:
- $1,700 cash
- $421,454 total assets
- $351,254 total current liabilities
It seems like TQLA is lagging a bit with its newest reports, which could reflect the results of lively tequila distribution to more and more states. Still, the company seems most concerned with its promotion, and with mentioning its expansion potential.
The latest promoter for TQLA is Penny Stock Craze, a party working for an unknown compensation. BuyPennyStocks.com receives a higher compensation of $12,500, bringing to this ticker the risk of its previous selections. Polar Petroleum, Corp. (OTCBB:POLR) was suddenly active, but was suspended on suspicions of an aggressive promotion. The same promoter was not shy about pumping Norstra Energy, Inc. (OTCMKTS:NORX), making it rise to unsustainable heights and drop soon afterwards.
TQLA still poses questions, but it has the potential to organize a long promotional campaign, and offer enough press releases to gain attention. While the company has a cash cow business of high-quality artisan alcohol, the stock may pose enough surprises. Stay away unless you are convinced by your own research.
