Propell Technologies Group, Inc. (OTCBB:PROP) Explodes, Then Crashes Horribly
Propell Technologies Group, Inc. (OTCBB:PROP) managed to reach an astounding high of $0.21, as investors once more revisited the one significant event in the company’s past. However, today’s deep red opening promises a whole other turn of events.
Popular Oilprice.com author James Stafford did a very good job of reminding investors why PROP had soared mid Marc. Back then, there was a huge uproar about Russian investments in the company, and that kept the ticker going for quite a while.
That is pretty much what happened this time around as well – except it doesn’t look like the hype will hold out as long as it did last time. Why?
Because, unlike last time, this time there is nothing new and exciting to hype about. The article may have directed some attention at PROP, but the fact remains that there is no actual relevant news on the company – and there hasn’t been for a while.
Meanwhile, oil prices have still not recovered to levels that would allow a small-cap company to make a profit, in spite of Mr. Stafford’s optimism. True, PROP‘s financials aren’t terrible, and certainly hint that the company could develop into something more than it currently is.
However, that doesn’t change the fact that PROP‘s latest jump was based on artificial hype rather than natural growth. And since this is the case, investors should be doubly wary of PROP – as we all know, hype jumps don’t last, and their aftermath can be horrifying to say the least.
Which is precisely what we’re seeing right now.
