SolarWindow Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:WNDW) Bounces On PR
[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]The stock of SolarWindow Technologies Inc (OTCMKTS:WNDW) gained a lot of attention during August when it hiked up the charts and reached prices of over $3.80 per share. Unfortunately, it couldn’t hold on to its gains and quickly dropped lower after a few attempts of recovering.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The company had previously managed to attract investors with a supposed webcast showing the technology that they have been working on commercializing for the past three years. The “webcast” however, turned out to be just a pre–recorded video that contained little actual information and looked more like a commercial you would see on TV.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The company’s financials are also not that good. [[tagnumber 10]]WNDW[[tagnumber 11]] recorded this in their report for the quarter ended May 31.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 15]] [[tagnumber 16]]cash: $69 thousand[[tagnumber 17]] [[tagnumber 16]]current assets: $247 thousand[[tagnumber 17]] [[tagnumber 16]]current liabilities: $2.4 million[[tagnumber 17]] [[tagnumber 16]]revenues: ZERO[[tagnumber 17]] [[tagnumber 16]]net loss: $1.5 million[[tagnumber 17]] [[tagnumber 26]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]And so, after some swaying in the charts the ticker settled below the $2.40 per share mark. That, however, was until yesterday. The company came out with a flashy new press release that was more fluff than solid content and it gained 10.39% in value. As it closed at $2.55 we saw a total of 172 thousand shares change their owners and generate $439 thousand in daily dollar volume.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Considering the fact that [[tagnumber 10]]WNDW[[tagnumber 11]] has been working to commercialize their product for such a long time and that the company’s latest efforts of inspiring investor confidence turned out to be so poor we think that doing your due diligence and weighing out the risks before making any trading decisions is absolutely crucial.[[tagnumber 2]]
