TechnoConcepts, Inc. (OTCMKTS:TCPS) Sold Off on Second Day of Promotion
Two months- that was all the boring sideways movement that investors could take from TechnoConcepts, Inc. (OTCMKTS:TCPS) before someone decided to shed their holdings. Currently, TCPS stands at $0.019 cents after losing more than 7% on trading volumes above $615,000. On August 27th, the first day of the promotion, TCPS only showed a tentative movement on low buying volumes.
The fallout for the day follows a few good moments as a promotional email landed on Wednesday, August 28th. MicroCapDigest was the last pumper, receiving a compensation of $15,000. Altogether, TCPS was mentioned in 24 emails, with a campaign worth $25,000. And the increased trading was an ideal moment to sell.
As of this summer, TCPS filed a suspension of duty to file reports, and it turned up the fog and smoke around itself further, after continuing for many years without a SEC filings of its quarterly results. Outside of that, TCPS shows limited data of its financial whereabouts. Still, the chip maker plans to revive its efforts to provide updated information. TCPS was very clear about its intentions in an August 28th PR message that coincided well with the promotional emails.
At around 2 cents, TCPS is too underpriced and may exhibit volatility that differs from its longer-term business potential. In the company’s own words, it has produced computer chips that could revolutionize the circuitry of wireless signal receiving. But until such technologies are integrated into consumer devices, TCPS could run the course of its promotion, up or down.
Alternative filings from years back (2006) far reveal that TCPS is equipped with:
- $933,000 cash
- $1.5 million total current assets
- $9.8 million current liabilities
- $2.8 million total revenues
How TCPS has fared since may be visible soon, but until the promotional clouds clear, TCPS will hardly show the true logic behind its stock. TCPS first came back to life in May, and had several runs up and down.
Another stock around the same price range that are quite active there days is NutraPharma, Corp. (OTCMKTS:NPHC), a pharmaceutical company that recently announced results and new marketing developments and lifted its levels to $0.017.
Viropro, Inc. (OTCMKTS:VPRO) is also making curious moves, and attracts with a relatively low price of 3 cents.
If you are curious what would happen to TCPS, and are waiting for new developments, it is still best to estimate well your ability to afford losses, and not trust too much in the promise of the company’s technological ideas, since they could never translate fully into stock price moves.
