Terra Tech, Corp. (OTCBB:TRTC) Keeps Up, Investors Await News
Terra Tech, Corp. (OTCBB:TRTC), as expected, continues its optimistic series, and is already within view of the 20-cent levels, with the potential to double in price compared to the last few days of 2013. On Thursday, TRTC added more than 18% to stand at $0.16, on dollar volumes above $1.7 million. The company is still drifting upward on inertia, without a new press release or a reminder email.
Investors’ boards also expect news soon from TRTC, which could boost the trend. TRTC specializes in hydroponics, and while its focus until now was edible gardening, it could also be counted toward the bunch of medical marijuana tickers in the spotlight these days.
Now, TRTC will have to show better or similar financials, to further solidify its positions. For now, the results are as follows:
- $40 thousand
- current assets: $837 thousand
- current liabilities: $3.8 million
- quarterly revenue: $773 thousand
- quarterly net loss: $15 thousand
TRTC is more optimistic that the industry’s bellwether, Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTCMKTS:MJNA). The ticker also spiked in the past days, only to correct on Wednesday. On Thursday, MJNA continued upward, adding 22% to 19 cents. Both tickers are within a reasonable price range, though some contenders offer a cheaper entrance price. However, MJNA opened strongly pressured down this Friday, threatening to wipe out some of the gains.
TRTC has the benefit of being a higher-tier stock with a better price, but this does not protect it from fluctuations, and deep corrections often happen at the peak of the trend. Now, TRTC will have to show how it rides over the weekend.
On the plus side, TRTC is capped at just above $19 million, with a relatively small free float of 48 million shares. This, however, is out of a total of 123 million shares outstanding, and there may be holdings waiting in the sidelines to be shed. Investors’ Hub opinions for now hold a strong view that TRTC has longer-term potential, and that this is just the beginning of the true rising trend.
In any case, avoid overinvesting unaffordable sums, unless you can afford to lose to corrections.
