TerraTech, Corp. (OTCMKTS:TRTC) Continues, Boosts Presence with 8-K Posting
TerraTech, Corp. (OTCMKTS:TRTC) teetered for a while, but managed to continue on strong upward momentum. The ticker easily fought the 20-cent level, adding another 29% to its price to 23 cents, as buying exceeded $3.23 million. TRTC is also boosted by the new wave of the dot-bong boom, as legislation for marijuana use offered further freedoms.
TRTC further boosted the trend by filing a new 8-K, outlining equity sales. The company placed more than 10 million shares at 6 cents per share, plus an additional warrant to buy another share at 6 cents. The proceeds reached $636,620, which could give the company a boost, and is still a small amount compared to the 123 million shares outstanding.
TRTC has the advantage of supplying hydroponics, thus in part avoiding outright sales of cannabis. Despite the hype, medical and recreational cannabis shops face a serious threat- a reluctance on the side of banks to perform transactions. Thus some of the businesses would be pushed to operate in cash only, with all the risks associated.
TRTC is still comparatively tame and cheap among marijuana stocks, some of which made phenomenal gains in the last few days. Still, at 23 cents TRTC is accessible enough, and with longer-term expectations may continue the strong gains.
Now, TRTC is in the price range of a long-term contender, Growlife, Inc. (OTCBB:PHOT), another hydroponics company, that however seems to be growing in smaller increments.
But both stocks are way more lively than Medical Marijuana, Inc. (OTCMKTS:MJNA), which again seems to be out of power, stuck at 17 cents.
Investors’ forums are up to a similar dilemma- which one of the tickers would be a better choice. Still, for most cannabis stocks, the general sentiment remains positive.
TRTC has had minor, though potentially painful setbacks, so it is still best to estimate individual risks of this company, and have a good idea how much of a setback is affordable. For TRTC, 30 cents is a shorter-term level that is expected to be vaulted soon, and like many other stocks, the ticker is tagged to cross over the $1 border. But there is no guarantee on how smoothly this should happen.
