Valmie Resources Inc (OTCBB:VMRI) Trying To Keep Its Value Too Hard
[[tagnumber 0]][[tagnumber 1]]Back in the end of March Valmie Resources Inc (OTCBB:VMRI) was traded above the $3 per share mark. Unfortunately, since then we have seen the ticker lose quite a lot of its value and the daily volumes have increased significantly, suggesting that there are a lot of people abandoning ship.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]One of the reasons for the poor performance of [[tagnumber 6]]VMRI [[tagnumber 7]]lately has been the massive paid promotional campaign that we have seen recently. Since March we have received more than one hundred and twenty promotional emails touting [[tagnumber 6]]VMRI[[tagnumber 7]]. Usually, when there is some much effort we see the exact results that we can see in the chart at the beginning of the article.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]The company’s financial state, however, isn’t that rosy as well. The most recent report shows that [[tagnumber 6]]VMRI [[tagnumber 7]]had these numbers in its balance sheet at the end of February.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 19]] [[tagnumber 20]]cash: $5 thousand[[tagnumber 21]] [[tagnumber 20]]current assets: $31 thousand[[tagnumber 21]] [[tagnumber 20]]current liabilities: $75 thousand[[tagnumber 21]] [[tagnumber 20]]quarterly revenues: ZERO[[tagnumber 21]] [[tagnumber 20]]quarterly net loss: $135 thousand[[tagnumber 21]] [[tagnumber 30]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Looking at these numbers we begin to wonder on just how much fluff was put into that press release that came in Tuesday concerning “[[tagnumber 34]]talks with potential acquisition partners[[tagnumber 35]]”. The only way that [[tagnumber 6]]VMRI [[tagnumber 7]]will be able to make an acquisition happen is through the further issuance of stock and this can turn out very badly for retail investors.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Let’s not forget that just a few years ago we saw [[tagnumber 6]]VMRI [[tagnumber 7]]issue around 59 million shares for less than $10 thousand. Considering the impressive amounts paid in order to promote the stock while the price was crashing we can’t help but wonder if someone who has a load of highly discounted stock was behind it.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]In that line of thought, we aren’t really surprised that after the “[[tagnumber 34]]potential acquisition[[tagnumber 35]]” news from yesterday we saw VMRI lose another 24.78% of its value. A total of 463 thousand shares changed their owners and generated $321 thousand in daily dollar volume.[[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]] [[tagnumber 2]] [[tagnumber 0]]Today’s “[[tagnumber 34]]shareholder update[[tagnumber 35]]” that listed virtually every press release from December until now seems to be working its magic. So far [[tagnumber 6]]VMRI [[tagnumber 7]]is 17.05% in the green. That, however, doesn’t mean that things can’t change for the worse anytime, so be sure to do your due diligence and weigh out the risks before putting any money on the line.[[tagnumber 2]]
