Virtus Oil and Gas Corp. f/k/a Curry Gold Corp (OTCBB:VOIL)’s Crash Intensivies
Virtus Oil and Gas Corp. f/k/a Curry Gold Corp (OTCBB:VOIL)’s slid down another 10% on a dollar volume of nearly half a million.
As we’ve discussed before, it’s natural for opportunistic traders who wish to make a profit on the OTC Markets to look for the big movers on the exchange – the companies with dramatic chart climbs and a lot of volatility. Still, said opportunists and regular investors alike should know that volatility is not enough to warrant committing to a specific stock – due diligence is also prudent when it comes to the OTC Markets. And even superficial due diligence on VOIL reveals a frightening amount of red flags.
As we’ve mentioned before, VOIL‘s financial standing isn’t really stellar, with its current assets at the end of Q3 2014 totaling a bit ore than $25 thousand. So what kind of business has $25 thousand in the bank, a market value of $36.3 MILLION (after a prolonged crash) and 50 million shares outstanding?
One that has been pumped for months through every possible medium. PR, paid pumps, unpaid pumps, landing pages, paper mailers, even unsolicited phone calls from people in the Philippines – you name it, VOIL has it.
Still, as seasoned investors well know, pumps are perilous – they could afford a ticker impressive volatility, but can also slam it to the ground hard and fast at any time. Which is exactly what is happening to VOIL stock prices are headed down hard right now.
