Voip-Pal.com, Inc. (OTCMKTS:VPLM) Enters New Week Pressured by Selling
Voip-Pal.com, Inc. (OTCMKTS:VPLM) ended the week with two days of high-level selling, sliding a bit from its recent peak. VPLM lost more than 8% on Friday on selling volumes of $490,000, returning to a level of around 15 cents.
While VPLM is not currently promoted by email, and its press releases are a few days old, a source of interest could be a self-generated white paper, accessible from the company’s web page. The paper emphasizes the qualities of VPLM, while hiding the fact that VOIP services are offered by the market leaders in software and communication industries.
Despite the fact that VPLM had three patents issued, it still remains a pink-sheet company with very limited resources. Some investors believe the price now is quite low compared to the company’s potential. Still, VPLM holds a lot of red flags, especially in its limited financial resources, such as the mere $4,000 in cash. With all this, VPLM truly poses the question if it can compete to create a global presence and infrastructure, big enough to replace older modes of communication technologies.
But the unique feature of VPLM is the “Lawful Intercept” patent, that would allow the tracking of VOIP conversations and services, a technology that is so far only a hypothetical possibility, as not even a patent was issued to larger, better-established companies. Curiously, VPLM mentions in the White Paper that the “Lawful Intercept” technology has so far no known application.
VPLM bets the most on its billing technology that allows to put a price tag on social network or other types of short messages. Previously, VPLM even sent out a press release suggesting it could solve Europe’s problems with roaming.
VPLM recalls the movement of Sigma Labs, Inc. (OTCMKTS:SGLB), the 3D printing company that managed to create a great hype and shoot to 13 cents, only to slide back. Now, SGLB is fighting to secure the 10-cent levels, and perhaps continue upwards for a while, to repeat its peak.
In a similar price range, one may find Liquidmetal Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:LQMT), a ticker related to the tech industry, a producer of amorphous alloys that promise to become a part of mobile device designs. LQMT hovers around 13 cents, as it deflates slowly from its 20-cents peak.
If you are still attracted to the potential of VPLM, keep in mind that the company has not put any of the ideas into reality. Choose your time frame well and be aware of the possibility for further selling and corrections.
