WhereverTV Broadcasting Corp. (PINK:TVTV) Develops with Paid Promotion
If you are looking for something new on TV, here is yet another penny stock that tries its hand at media fame. WhereverTV Broadcasting Corp. (PINK:TVTV) was bought at record volumes, with a small daily gain of 11% to 30 cents. We wonder what would make a pink sheet so attractive, especially one that bears a warning for posting limited information.
TVTV started more active trading at the beginning of the new year, sliding down from $1. This is a usual trading pattern for a pink sheet that has changed tracks, and indeed TVTV was previously Accelerated Building Concepts Corp. (ABCC) until September 2012. The latest increase in activity follows a very logical cause- a promotional campaign from BreakoutStocks.com, with a budget of $11,000. In addition, TVTV posted a series of press releases.
The latest news from the company states that TVTV is now competing with other apps on the Apple store- still a long shot to success, given that millions of smartphone applications are competing for users’ attention.
WhereverTV offers an easier way to select TV subscription services, targeting foreigners with national TV channel selections. The company offers access to programming via web, with all the technological limitations that follow. But let’s look at TVTV‘s financial basis, though outdated a few years:
- Zero cash and assets
- $4.3 million total current liabilities
- $21,635 quarterly revenues
- Breakeven point for quarter ended March 2012
It seems this pink sheet is burdened by debt and losses inherited from its previous business, and it may take a while for the new web-based TV subscriptions to generate fresh income. But even before that, TVTV may fall as soon as the promotion and press releases stay silent long enough. Since Breakout Stocks revealed this would be a one-day promotion, the next trading session will show where TVTV goes from here. We have not intercepted any promotions for the previous ticker, ABCC.
Both BreakoutStocks.com and ODD Marketing LLC, the paying party, feature in our database with some of the noisiest promotions on record. ODD Marketing took up an old and heavily promoted stock, Chancery Resources, Inc. (OTC:CCRY) and drove it even further down, after causing the ticker to spike on April 9th, the day of the promotion. TVTV has shown potential to drop precipitously, so plan your investments with the possibility of losing a big part of them.
